The target group of the market survey study consists of those micro- and SMEs, registered in Hungary that are interested in exporting. In the desk research phase the key attributes of the enterprises were summarized, such as ownership categories, market orientation, sectorial structure, and highlighted target countries, as well as their export performance based on already existing data. In the field research phase, we conducted a telephone survey (on more than 200 businesses) to gather information on the micro and SMEs’ experiences and requirements of export credit insurance.
