the CEE countries and what will be its impact on the CEE-Chinese&nbsp;economic relations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study\u00a0was\u00a0conducted in cooperation of three institutes: Kopint-T\u00e1rki Economic Research Institute\u00a0as the leader of the consortium,\u00a0the\u00a0Institute of World Economy, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies (IWE-CERS)\u00a0and the\u00a0Institute of East European, Russian, and Central Asian Studies (CASS IREECAS,\u00a0Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study&nbsp;consists&nbsp;of&nbsp;2&nbsp;main&nbsp;chapters,&nbsp;within this, 7 subchapters.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first&nbsp;main&nbsp;chapter provides an overview&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>on the global&nbsp;economic&nbsp;situation&nbsp;and outlooks&nbsp;of the European Union,&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>on the&nbsp;fiscal processes, trends in government debts&nbsp;in the EU&nbsp;as well as its consequences in the near future&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>on the&nbsp;intensity of&nbsp;intra-European trade relations, which is a major factor of the interdependency between Eastern and Western Europe.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The second main chapter&nbsp;deals with some major&nbsp;<strong>specific<\/strong>&nbsp;issues of recovery and restart in&nbsp;Europe&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>potential changes&nbsp;in the&nbsp;global&nbsp;value chains&nbsp;<strong>(GVC)<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>European economic recovery policy focuses on future investment in the green&nbsp;economy&nbsp;and digitalization&nbsp;in the&nbsp;framework of&nbsp;<strong>Next Generation<\/strong>&nbsp;EU program.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the growing role of&nbsp;investments in&nbsp;digital&nbsp;capacities and&nbsp;capabilities&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;recovery&nbsp;of&nbsp;European&nbsp;economy,&nbsp;also in CEE.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the attitudes of CEE countries towards&nbsp;<strong>green economy<\/strong>,&nbsp;investment in&nbsp;renewable energy sources and\/or nuclear energy.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The last subchapter&nbsp;addresses the&nbsp;possible impact of the pandemic&nbsp;on&nbsp;economic and trade relations between&nbsp;<strong>China and CEE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Downloads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kopint-tarki.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Restart_Europe_ENG_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Restart Europe study (in English)<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kopint-tarki.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020_tanulmany_Restart_Europe_CHN_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Restart Europe study (in Chinese)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The COVID-19 pandemic health crisis has had severe consequences on European economic activity since March 2020.&nbsp;The aim of the study is to assess how the recovery from the economic crisis in the European Union due to the COVID-19 will affect&nbsp;
